For as long as I can remember, I have loved to read. Living vicariously through the characters experiences gave me so much joy in times of hardship. Because i was born in a different country, reading also helped me learn English and the culture. As a reader, I tend to gravitate towards fiction, fantasy, or romance books. The unreal nature of these types of books provide an escape from reality. Some of my favorite books include Dracula, The Divergent series, Matched, etc. I usually read at home or when i'm sad as a way of comfort. During the two years in which I was home schooled, I read over 1000 books (most of them were unpublished) on a website called Wattpad. Its basically a place where people can write stories, publish books, and read other peoples works. As I am now in High School, I have less time to read for fun but I hope to get back into the habit during the summer.
